WE MAKE SCHOOL - INNOVATION AND CREATIVITY THROUGH EDUCATION
die Schulteile des Gymnasiums The National School was founded on August 1 Arnstadt in 2007. It was created following the merger of two previously existing high schools - the J-G.-Herder-Gymnasium and the Neideck High School.
With the merger of the former Neideck building in Rose Street was closed, so that our school comprises two buildings currently in Arnstadt:

  1. part of the school in the beetle Strasse with grades 5 to 11 at the eastern edge of the city center in a traffic situation
  2. part of the school at the Palace Square with the students in grade 12 in the center of the city

The school part of the Castle Square is centrally located and easily accessible in the middle of Arnstadt - the building of the former Neideck High School. With a listed building and adjacent to the castle and the Neideckruine and has large classrooms, wide hallways and an auditorium, it is a traditional flair.

The school part of the Beetle Burger Street has a former East German school building since the restoration 2004-2006 for nearly 1,000 students plenty of space. The most modern technical cabinets, art and theater workshop spaces, meditation and religion rooms, Internet access in each subject area, 2 computer rooms, break rooms, Cafeteria, disabled extension and lift, approximately 18,000 square yard with lots of greenery and lush trees and the proximity to a modern 3-field large sports hall and a stadium offer ideal conditions for learning, for the sport and for the breaks.
